Lab Grade Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs
The RASN staff have reviewed and tested a variety of glucosamine and chondroitin products for dogs. Many of these products are found with high ratings on Amazon.com and other online marketplaces with lots of 5 star reviews. Most however were full of filler products, severely lacking of any glucosamine or chondroitin. Even worse they often contained toxic chemicals or heavy metals. Sadly this is because the popularity of online shopping and lack of oversight on imported products has caused a flood of unregulated products from countries with heavily polluted soil loaded with pesticides and chemical fertilizer.
For your dog’s protection we recommend only buying from US manufacturers with lab grade ingredients and free of toxic chemicals. If you are unable to find quality products you’ll be better off just feeding your dog quality food and skipping the glucosamine.
